H3C® S5120-EI Series Gigabit Ethernet Switches are Layer 3 Ethernet switches that support diversified services, enable IPv6 forwarding and provide up to four 10 Gigabit Ethernet extended interfaces. Unique Intelligent Resilient Framework (IRF™) technology simplifies network management by enabling interconnected switches to be managed as a single common fabric with one IP address; this increases network resilience, performance and availability while simultaneously reducing operational complexity as well. These switches provide Gigabit Ethernet access and can be used at the edge of a network or to connect server clusters in data centers.

S5120-EI Series switches support two expansion slots, each of which can support two-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet expansion modules. By configuring these to 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections, you can future-proof your network from obsolescence and maximize your infrastructure investment. S5120-EI Series Gigabit Ethernet Switches also support IPv4 and IPv6 Layer 3 static routing, as well as IPv4 and IPv6 forwarding at full line-speed on hardware. Additionally, IPv6 access control list (ACL) and network management system (NMS) support ensure a smooth transition from IPv4 to IPv6.
