The EliteBook 850 G3 is powered by a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i6-6300U Dual-Core processor which will allow users to run multiple applications simultaneously. If you need more power, the CPU can be overclocked to 3.0 GHz. The 8GB of 2133 MHz DDR4 SDRAM also helps the computer to run multiple applications simultaneously, as well as access frequently-used files and programs. The current memory configuration is two 8GB modules. With both slots in use, this system supports 32GB of RAM, or 16GB per slot.
The 15.6" TN Slim eDP SVA anti-glare display features a 1366 x 768 screen resolution, LED-backlighting, a 16:9 aspect ratio, a typical contrast ratio of 400:1, a response time of 16ms, 142 ppi, a brightness of 300 nits, and viewing angles of 45/45/25/35°. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 delivers a sharp, clear picture, and you'll also be able to output video to an external display using the system's DisplayPort 1.2 port at resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 @ 60 Hz, and the VGA port at resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz.
For long-term storage of your files, a 500GB SATA hard drive provides quick access to your data. If you want to add external storage drives or other peripherals, the EliteBook 850 G3 features two 5 Gb/s USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one of which doubles as a charging port, one 5 Gb/s USB 3.0 Type-C port, and a docking connector. Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11ac Wi-Fi are also built-in for wired and wireless networking and Bluetooth 4.2 technology will also allow you to connect additional compatible peripherals. So that content from memory cards may be accessed, a built-in SD/SDHC/SDXC card reader lets users download content from their digital camera.
