The slim and lightweight 14" ThinkPad T450s Ultrabook from Lenovo is designed for business users who require portability, but is also well suited for general use. The system is powered by a 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7-5600U Dual-Core processor that allows you to run multiple applications simultaneously.
Tbe system's 8GB of 1600 MHz PC3-12800 DDR3L RAM allows the computer to quickly access frequently-used files and programs. The RAM comes in a configuration of one 4GB chip that is soldered to the system's motherboard and a second 4GB chip installed in a 204-pin SO-DIMM socket. The SO-DIMM socket can support memory amounts up to 16GB, for a system total of 20GB of RAM.
The 14" LED-backlit anti-glare display features an HD+ 1600 x 900 native resolution, a 16:9 aspect ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, and a 400:1 contrast ratio. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 delivers a sharp, clear picture and you'll also be able to output video to an external display using the built-in Mini DisplayPort and VGA ports. For connecting to the Internet, a Gigabit Ethernet port and 802.11ac Wi-Fi are included. For connecting external peripherals such as storage or optical drives, this may be accomplished using the three USB 3.0 ports. One of the USB 3.0 ports is also powered for always-on device charging.
Additional compatible peripherals may be paired using Bluetooth 4.0 technology. For long-term storage of your files, the ThinkPad T450s features a 128GB SSD. While this SSD may not have the larger capacity of a traditional hard drive, it features no moving parts and is more resistant to damage from bumps and drops.
