The system is powered by a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5-5200U Dual-Core processor that allows you to run multiple applications simultaneously. If you need more power, the processor can be overclocked to 2.9 GHz and the system's 16GB of 1600 MHz PC3-12800 DDR3 RAM allows the computer to quickly access frequently-used files and programs. The RAM comes in a configuration of two 8GB chips that is installed in a 204-pin SO-DIMM socket that can support memory amounts up to 8GB. As this system only has one socket, 8GB is the maximum amount that it can support.
The 12.5" LED-backlit anti-glare display features an HD 1366 x 768 native resolution, a 16:9 aspect ratio, 200 cd/m2 brightness, and a 300:1 contrast ratio. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 delivers a sharp, clear picture and you'll also be able to output video to an external display using the built-in Mini DisplayPort and VGA ports. Additionally, since SSDs have no moving parts, they receive less wear and tear, since there are no read and write heads for the drive media to come into contact with. Whether you are listening to music, watching a movie, or playing a game, the dual integrated 1.5W stereo speakers with Dolby sound use the Realtek ALC3232 HD audio codec and offer high quality sound.
